Goodbye to cataract, and hello to dry eye

November 5, 2019

I have been a photographer for 21 years and just had my cataracts removed two months ago. I always had 20/20 visual acuity without glasses, as a youngster. In my early 50s, however, my vision started getting worse and since then, I have had multiple eye problems (blurred vision, too much glare, eye fatigue, dry eye, just to name a few). Gradually, I could not make out shapes or colors, even if they were right in front of me, without my glasses. I feel that I can no longer read, pursue photography or enjoy my hobbies like I used to.

It was late in July, when I was hanging out with some friends, that all of a sudden, everything just went white. I could not see anything. After meeting my ophthalmologist, I was advised to go for cataract surgery. My vision improved, but my eyes are stinging and burning all the time now. I am so tired. I do not want my eye problems to hinder me from enjoying my life anymore!
