Dry eye disease: How can artificial tears help you?

Dry eye can strongly influence your quality of life, preventing you from engaging in daily activities. If you find yourself in trouble with dry eye disease - DED, lubricant eye drops (or artificial tears) may be a first choice to relieve the symptoms. So how do these work?

Dryness eye syndrom — 4 times/day in most cases

Artificial tears help providing a comfortable environment, with similar elements as our original tears. Eye drops help to cover the eye surface, keep our eyes moist, and support the natural function of our tear film.^1-4

Dry Eye Disease: About Artificial Tears — 10-12 times/day in severe cases

It is important to remember that artificial tears only provide temporary relief and do not treat the underlying disease. If symptoms persist, you should see an ophthalmologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.
